Two-fer

Into the world comes, Elijah Mead Crider, at 7lbs. 6oz. on March 16. Son of my nephew, Brian, and his wife Jen. It is by pure coincidence that my niece and nephew named their first borns, Elijah. Now, if any of my other nephews and nieces are expecting, please let me know.

Amelia ( * * * ) Interesting story; not oscar material IMO
Changeling ( * * * 1/2 ) Dramatic; worth the watch
I Love You, Man ( * * 1/2 ) Funny and enjoyable; not great
Eagle Eye ( * * ) So far-fetched it was laughable
Pineapple Express ( * * ) Deliriously stupid, but fast moving
Outsourced ( * * ) View from the other side
Tell No One (* * 1/2 ) Foreign film; full of suspense
Seven Pounds ( * * 1/2 ) Good Will Smith film in heroic role; uplifting for survivors
Revolutionary Road ( * * * ) Dark drama; a probable portrayal of real life in the 50's
The Soloist ( * * 1/2 ) Another true story; interesting enough
Black Book ( * * * ) Engaging drama despite sub-titles
Julie & Julia ( * * * 1/2 ) Meryl's portrayal pushed this up 1 star
Definitely, Maybe ( * * * ) Kinda like a chick flick; but I liked it
Body of Lies ( * * 1/2) Just ok. Similar to Syriana
Hotel for Dogs ( * * 1/2) Cute with a msg .. sort of .. for dog lovers ; it's Disney
Defiance ( * * * ) True story; we don't really know about harsh life
Paul Blart - Mall Cop ( * * 1/2) It's full of chuckles
Confessions of a Shopaholic ( * * 1/2) A bit better than 'Bride Wars' but not by much
Bride Wars ( * * ) Kinda funny
Gran Torino ( * * * * ) Vintage Clint; reminds me alot of my father-in-law
Reign Over Me ( * * * ) A serious Adam Sandler; he done good
The Tale of Despereaux ( * * 1/2 ) Ok, but not up to 'Ratatouille'
Baby Mama ( * * 1/2 ) Funny SNL movie
Frost/Nixon ( * * * * ) Intriguing and well done; will have to see the actual interviews now
He Just Isn't Into You ( * * 1/2 ) Fun to watch; glad we're not that age anymore
Doubt ( * * * * ) Pretty good .. hey, it's Meryl Streep
The Wrestler ( * * * * ) True to life and poignant
Nights in Rodanthe ( * * 1/2 ) Mediocre chick flick despite the cast
Bagboy ( * * ) Somewhat entertaining. Don't spend money to see it.
Beverly Hills Chihauhau ( * * 1/2 ) Stupid but entertaining after a couple of bottles of wine
Last Chance Harvey ( * * * ) Good story and good acting
Suburban Girl ( * * 1/2 ) Girl grows up in big city again

Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (* * 1/2 ) Past its prime
